Mr Nitin D’Souza is a certified coach from Sports Authority of India (SAI). He is a physical education teacher at St. Joseph school. He was a Mumbai coach for Junior State Athletic Meet and he was also a Maharashtra state athletic coach. He was also the technical official as 3rd leg in Asian Grand Prix.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Maharashtra State Athletic Championship Coach, 2001.
- Under his guidance the athletic team of St Joseph, Juhu has won various accolades over the years.
- His student Shambunath Yadav won the Powai Marathon in the 21km category in 2015.
- Under the guidance of Nitin sir, Yash Pandloskar broke the AISM new meet record with a timing of 11.8 second in the 100 meters and also stood 2nd place representing Maharashtra in West Zone Athletic meet, his personal best is 11.51 seconds (100 meters).
- Dev Shroff who trains for fitness with Star Athletes United won Bronze in the U-14 Individual Table Tennis Championship & Silver in Team Table tennis.
- In Jan ’17, Nitin Dsouza received an award for outstanding service to sports as a coach.
